engıne room ventılatıon

The engine room ventilation system is designed in full compliance with ISO 8861, ensuring class-compliant airflow and thermal control for machinery spaces.

In accordance with the design conditions and calculation principles of ISO 8861, the airflow is determined based on air requirements and heat balance: the required supply air quantity is calculated as the sum of the combustion air requirements for the main and auxiliary engines/generators, plus the cooling air required to dissipate sensible heat emitted by machinery and electrical equipment.

To ensure rapid smoke extraction and safe CO purging in any emergency situation, the fans are designed for reversible operation.
