Designed for sustainable marine cold rooms, the Provision Cooling Unit (PCU) features two completely independent cooling circuits—each containing a compressor and a seawater-cooled condenser—to ensure uninterrupted operation under all service conditions. The unit is mounted on vibration dampers to minimize structure-borne noise and reduce vibrations.

 

Each cold room is equipped with its own evaporator unit, along with control and isolation valves, which facilitates maintenance and allows for precise adjustment. Room temperatures are managed by thermostats integrated with the PCU’s main control panel to maintain accurate setpoints and ensure energy-efficient performance. Negative temperature rooms are further equipped with electric defrost heaters and drain line heaters to prevent ice accumulation and ensure reliable drainage.
